Oral Tissue Biopsy

Oral tissue biopsies may be necessary for lesions that cannot be diagnosed on the basis of the history and clinical findings alone. A thorough inspection of the oral cavity is a part of any complete head and neck examination. When additional information is required to guide any indicated therapy, biopsies to provide tissue for microscopic analysis is often the definitive procedure.
